Uninstall your current driver and restart the machine.What bothered me the most is that I couldn't get double tap right clicks to work. A week ago, the driver stopped working yet again (after having worked for something like two years) and I was forced to solve the problem again. So I've been struggling with this laptop's touchpad for a while.
I also want to give a quick shout-out to /u/hdhdhdjdh for giving me my first award ever. I tried a few things, found a solution and adjusted this post accordingly. and I had to follow my own guide and realised it doesn't work properly anymore. EDIT (January 2021): Some Windows update screwed everything up YET.
